Charlie manages to get herself into a right old predicament that opens up a whole new can of worms and makes me wonder where on earth the authors will be going with this new plot strand. The authors originally planned on releasing it as a standalone but later realized that the story would not fit into one book, so they’re giving us multiple books! I don’t know what kind of witchcraft or jedi mind tricks they have cast upon me…but it’s totally and completely working and I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself after the third book. The mayor cliffhanger ending left me wondering what would happen next and I just couldn’t resist temptation any longer… And I have to say this part was even better than the first. The mystery is intriguing and the background on both characters has been built upon so bring on January 19th and blow me away with all the connections and answers!

Almost a decade ago, I had an idea for a story where a teenage girl wakes up in class with no memory of how she got there. Leslie graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College where she honed her writing skills and also holds two Master's degrees. That experience eventually became the Never Never series, which released in a three-novella format several years ago. This book picks up from the cliffhanger in the previous book where Silas was leaving himself notes before he loses his memory again.

Things are not as easy as it seems and people soon will start making the wrong conclusions about their suddenly ‘renewed’ friendship. I was intrigued after the first one, but after reading reviews for this one I’ve decided to wait until the last book is done before I read it so I don’t have that torturous wait between books. The last book ended with the disappearance of Charlie and this book predominantly of Silas looking for her while. It's like taking a few chapters from a book and trying to decide what rating it deserves based on that small piece. I thought this is the book where I’ll get my answers but I was disappointed that it was such a huge cop out! From the letters, we also learn more about the troubles in their relationship because of their fathers. For starters, I struggled to remember half of the names of other people that appeared in the earlier book. Sadly, the couple wasn’t even together in this book but we are once again gifted with their dual POVS as they both try to figure out what is happening to them.

So that really is all I'm going to say about the content, as this series is pretty much, the most compelling thing, I have read this year. For those who are interested in reading this series, my advice is definitely wait for the final book to come out before embarking on this mysterious amnesiac tale. Initially I ruled it out Colleen wouldn't do that; she knows we can take angst followed by a HEA, but Tarryn is evil. So, I wrote the next chapter from a different character’s perspective and sent it back to her and said, “YOU finish it!But other than that, every other thing in the story is either a surprise or a mystery and I was gripped from the beginning till the end that I read the entire story for less than two hours. Never Never is a thrilling love story that shows plenty of life in romance yet, as newly strangers fight tooth and nail to rekindle the magic of their first real kiss while grappling with a disturbing new reality. The letters were a great detail (and the reason why I’m rating it 3,5) and allowed us to see more of them as couple, but there was too much going around and absolutely no explanation (or clues) to why everything was happening. The characters have become more mature and likable and I really loved reading the letters and the shifting POVs of the MCs.
