I measured output voltages from a few pairs of cells I have at hand, and saw that the Energizer lithium batteries had 1,7V while the basic white Eneloops had about 1. The steadiness, sharpness and contrast I am accustomed seeing in APO refractors, but not in binoculars, until now. Portable, all-in one PowerShot and IXUS cameras ranging from expert creative compacts to superzooms and easy point and shoot options.

At a dark site I'd take a break, maybe use my dob for a while, and get some coffee and rest my arms. I would say that the IS 15x50 are more suited for advanced users with experience of holding steady none-stabilized binoculars of similar size.If you are reasonably steady on a star cluster, say, you push the button once (don't have to hold it down) and in a second or two it stabilizes and stars pop into view that you couldn't see otherwise. Hundreds of faint stars become visible and DSOs and bright stars are sitting within star fields steady and beautiful like in photos.

For value you can only really compare to equivalent bino's with mount and tripod, and even then the hassle factor must be considered. By using two lenses, Canon has achieved a wide field of view of 67° (12x36 IS, 15x50 IS ALL WEATHER, 18x50 IS ALL WEATHER), with unrivaled sharpness. correction angle easily compensates for the common hand-shake that can make viewing through binoculars of this magnification difficult or disorientating.Right-eye dioptric correction, twist-up eyecups, and a wide interpupillary adjustment range rounds out the features of these binoculars that will become your go-to optic for any outdoor activity.

A larger objective diameter allows more light to enter the binoculars, resulting in brighter images, especially in low-light conditions. The Bino Bandit worked well, although the shape of the eyepieces on the bino means the Bandit wants to migrate back toward the bino body. My point was that this downside of the Konig should be eliminated when using Canon IS binos and thus it could be a good aid in supporting the heavier IS models for longer viewing sessions. Even with IS, I do find that I must calm my breathing and steady my stance very carefully to realize the maximum benefit.

The exit pupil is the small circle of light you see when you hold the binoculars at arm's length and look through the eyepieces. Connect your camera to your Apple or Android device for firmware updates, remote shooting or to easily download your photos. This is particularly important in high magnification binoculars as it makes it easier to locate your desired subject.
